Joker 2 trailer: The much-anticipated film is slated to release on October 4, 2024 -- exactly five years after the first film.
Expect the unexpected as Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga get together in Joker 2 to tell the famous love story of Joker and Harley Quinn, which has been told many times before in various films and shows. Giving us a peek into their romance, Gaga and Phoenix get together on the screen for the first time to play the world-famous lovers.
Joker 2 titled Joker: Folie à Deux will have Joaquin Phoenix reprise his role as Arthur Fleck with Lady Gaga as the twisted Harley Quinn by his side. Together they wreak havoc in each other’s lives and those around them but with a twist of love. Joker obviously is Batman’s arch nemesis, so we’re expecting a bit on that side too, but we won’t complain if the film focuses only on Gaga and Phoenix.
The Joker: Folie à Deux trailer is dark and gritty and begins at Arkham Asylum. It starts with Joker being locked up at the end of the first film. That’s where Arthur Fleck meets his going-to-be lover Harley Quinn. After the chance encounter, they plan to break out of the jail and take on the world with their craziness. They dance and twirl and bring the madness to Gotham.

In the trailer, Harley tells Joker, “I’m nobody. I haven’t done anything with my life like you have,” as she mimes shooting herself in the head with a finger gun.
The first film came five years ago as the Todd Phillips directorial told the origin story of Joker – a struggling stand-up comedian and part-time clown named Arthur Fleck. In the sequel, he takes his act on the road and performs on all kinds of stages with Harley Quinn as his demented muse.
The makers have kept the plot of the new Joker film under wraps with some calling it a jukebox musical. In one interview, Todd said, “Music is an essential element. It doesn’t veer too far from the first film.”
Joker: Folie à Deux will debut on the big screen on October 4, 2024.
