Joker: Folie à Deux trailer brings to life sizzling chemistry between Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga

After teasing us with some sizzling chemistry in stills from their upcoming film, Joker 2, Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix are back and this time with a full fledged trailer. Makers dropped the first official trailer for Joker: Folie A Deux and it's as chaotic as we’d expect it to be. 

Joker 2 is titled Joker: Folie A Deux and brings back Joaquin as Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn on the screen for the first time in the crazy psycho lover character. The movie will mostly take place in Arkham Asylum where the two meet. 

This is the first time that Joaquin and Gaga will work together. 

Joker: Folie A Deux is the sequel for Warner Bros. and DC's 2019 film Joker. The film will release on October 4, 2024.

Joker 2 first premiered at the Venice Film Festival. It was a massive hit both critically and commercially. It was nominated for 11 Oscars with Joaquin Phoenix winning Best Actor Academy Award. 

Joker 2 Cast and Director

Joker 2 will also feature actors Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey. Zazie Beetz returns as Sophie from the first film. 

Todd Phillips returns as the director of Joker: Folie a Deux. He co-wrote the script with Scott Silver and produced the film with Bradley Cooper.

Joker 2 is not part of other DC films

Joker 2 is not a part of other DC films franchises like the upcoming Superman and The Batman Part II. Also, Lady Gaga’s character will be nothing like Margot Robbie’s character. Margot had portrayed Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey and The Suicide Squad.
