Alexander McQueen's latest 'horsegirl aesthetics' boots leave internet divided on its price and design

Fashion is not for everyone. While some may find the latest styles trendy, some scoff at the exorbitant prices and out-of-the-box designs. For instance, Alexander MCQueen's recent release of boots has divided the internet over its price and design. The hoof boots have failed to impress some people while some have called the design one that has the potential to be iconic. 

The hoof boots are part of the brand's autumn-winter collection, and fashionistas are stating that it has 'horsegirl aesthetics'. The brown-coloured "calf hair boot features a hoof inspired round toe with horseshoe sole silhouette and silver finished nail studs." 

How are the hoof boots priced?

The Alexander McQueen hoof boots are reportedly priced at a whopping $2,990 (approximately Rs 2.50 lakh). The pricing has received mixed responses and while some have given a thumbs up to the design, others have been left unimpressed. 

Reactions on social media

An individual said, "Alexander would be so disappointed. This is not McQueen at all." Another Instagram user shared, "Everyone currently working for McQueen needs to be let go. Nothing is working for them lately." A third posted, "Model wearing a hoof boots. On the horse. Groundbreaking."

One user, however, stated, "These new shoes will be an iconic chapter for the brand."
