Gigi Hadid brings Barbie glam to Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2024, gives nod to BFF Taylor Swift

Gigi Hadid stunned on the runway as she walked for the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 15. Gigi kept it chic and glamorous as she wore a racy pink silk nightwear and huge Victoria’s Secret angel wings. 

Her entrance was full of drama as she was raised onto the runway on a small platform. She then stood at her spot, did a little “Oh Hi” with raised hands, and kisses to the audience, before starting her walk. Gigi Hadid opened the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and made us realise what we’d been missing all this while. 

Gigi reportedly took cue for the dramatic entrance from bestie Taylor Swift who did the same raising hands and kisses to the audience sequence during her Lover tour era. Prior to the show, Gigi told Entertainment Tonight, "There's something on the runway tonight that is new for at least me on this runway. There's an aspect to it that I was trained to do by Taylor on her tour. In one of her rehearsals, she was like, 'I'm going to show you how we do this.' And now I'm using it tonight."

Gigi wore silk pink lingerie and angel wings that matched her vibe. She paired these with large diamond pink hoops and slick hair. The makeup was ultra Barbie glam, with soft pink blush and pink nude lipstick with gloss to top it off. 

Before the show, Gigi Hadid mentioned that she would be walking with her younger sister Bella Hadid. She said that they will walk together for the first time since 2018.  Gigi made her Victoria's Secret runway debut in 2015.

What’s so special about this Victoria's Secret show

We have grown up watching Victoria’s Secret shows but it was extra special for all new and old fans, was that it returned after a huge gap of six years. The iconic show and the brand were under major fire some years ago when it was accused of being discriminatory and non-inclusive. Since then, Victoria’s Secret management has had a major overhaul.
