Story highlights

King Charles III, who has started making public appearances after announcing he's battling cancer, met with David Beckham recently but skipped a request by Harry's team. Prince Harry was in the UK around the same time that this "private meeting" with David Beckham took place.

Is the King of Britain unhappy with his son Prince Harry? We ask this because reports suggest that King Charles allegedly held a private meeting with David Beckham but declined a request by Prince Harry who was in the United Kingdom earlier this week.

We can’t confirm but multiple local reports suggest that King Charles met David Beckam to discuss details around King’s charity, the King’s Foundation in a “private meeting”. David Beckham is said to have visited him to learn more about the charity.

Meanwhile, around the same time on Friday last week (May 10), Prince Harry (Duke of Sussex) was in the UK for events marking the anniversary of his Invictus Games. He arrived in the UK on May 7. At the time, his spokesman had said that he won't meet his father, who is undergoing cancer treatment. "In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty's full programme," said the spokesman.

The statement said, "The Duke of course is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."

Meghan and Harry are in Nigeria currently

As for Harry and wife Meghan Markle, the duo is currently in Nigeria to promote the Invictus Games, an international sporting event that the Duke of Sussex started a decade ago for troops injured in action.

Harry and Meghan attended a reception for military families in Abuja where the former spoke of the tragic loss of the "brave souls" in the country's military who died in conflicts and said he felt "goosebumps" after seeing plans for a new centre to rehabilitate injured troops.
