Prince George reportedly expressed interest in becoming a pizza maker during a visit to Wiveton Hall Cafe.
Prince George, the future King of England, might have a different dream for his career, at least for now! While visiting Norfolk’s Wiveton Hall Cafe with his mother Kate Middleton, the 11-year-old royal reportedly told the cafe owner Desmond MacCarthy that he wanted to be a pizza maker when he grows up.
According to People, MacCarthy shared that Prince George was excited to see the cafe’s wood-fired pizza oven. “That’s what I want to do when I grow up!” George told MacCarthy.
The British royal family frequently spends time in Norfolk as their country home Anmer Hall is located nearby. They also visit Sandringham where the family often spends Christmas.
Prince George’s love for pizza is well-known. He was seen enjoying a slice while watching a cricket match in 2023 and his mother has often shared how much her children enjoy making pizza. Kate revealed in 2018 that Prince George and his sister, Princess Charlotte, love making pizza dough because “they can get their hands messy”.
According to author Robert Hardman, Prince George may have more freedom in choosing his path than previous royals.
In his book, Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story. Hardman stated that while King Charles III had a predetermined future, Prince William ensured that George would have more autonomy in shaping his life before taking up the throne.

“Whereas Charles III had his future mapped out without consultation, Prince William had a significant degree of autonomy in his choice of university education, his engagement with the armed forces and his introduction to regular royal duties,” Hardman wrote. “He is determined that Prince George should have a similar if not greater involvement in the way he develops his own royal role.”
Beyond his pizza-making aspirations, Prince George has shown a passion for flying. Prince William mentioned at a Buckingham Palace garden party in May that George is a “potential pilot in the making” and has even started flying lessons.
