No longer residence in Frogmore Cottage? No worries! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have now bought a new European vacay abode.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to live it up. They might not have an individual home in England, but the duo is keen on having an European vacation home and have thus invested in a property somewhere in Portugal where Harry’s relatives Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have an estate. First reported by Daily Mail, the news has spread like wildfire.

With this splurge, Meghan will now get to apply for a Golden Visa which will allow the actress-turned royal to access 26 Schengen countries in Europe, including Italy, Spain and Greece, without restriction.

Harry and Meghan bought the property, a year after they had to give up the Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, following their exit from royal life. Harry and Meghan quit the royal family in 2020 and have since built their base in the United States.

At the moment, Frogmore Cottage is with Prince Andrew who was allegedly appointed the estate.

Harry and Meghan live in the US now

In an interview for ITV’s documentary Tabloids on Trial earlier this year, Prince Harry had spoken about concerns for his wife's safety. He said at the time, “It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”

Hence this new house in the EU, away from Britain, does not come as a surprise for many. Royal experts suggest that the move will help their two children stay in touch with their European roots while not having to enter Britain.
