Meghan Markle stuns in red gown as she makes surprise appearance at Children's Hospital LA gala

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles 2024 Gala on Saturday (October 5). The glamorous event, held every two years, pays tribute to CHLA’s patients, paediatric workers and some of California's top physicians and caregivers.

Meghan donned a red Carolina Herrera gown for the event. The actress previously wore the outfit at the 2021 Salute to Freedom gala in New York. Since Prince Harry is in Lesotho for his charity work, Meghan attended the event alongside Kelly Mckee Zajfen, founder of Alliance of Moms.

For her hairdo, she opted for a middle parting and flaunted her silky, wavy tresses. Her makeup featured a soft blush, nude lips, and kohl-rimmed eyes. She wore matching heels to complete the look.

At the gala, Meghan warmly interacted with the hospital’s young patients, took photos with children, and even spoke to their families. Inside the rooftop venue, she greeted nurses and hospital staff, clicking selfies and chatting with those who approached her.

The gala, hosted by Joy Cryer and Lisa Joyner, honoured television producer Chuck Lorre, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, and his wife Bernadette. Meghan’s surprise appearance at the event comes as her husband Prince Harry was seen visiting Lesotho on October 1 on a public engagement with his charity Sentebale to discuss the HIV/AIDS crisis in southern Africa.

On the professional front, Meghan is currently preparing for the launch of her upcoming Netflix show and lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
