Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 Live Updates: Counting is underway on Tuesday (June 4) to decide who will form the next government of India. With the Lok Sabha 2024 election voting wrapped up, India is poised to see whether the incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi's NDA government will retain power, or if a new government will emerge from the opposing INDIA bloc. Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 Live Updates: The counting of votes is on for the Lok Sabha elections in India and the final results will be out in a few hours from now. Of the 543 constituencies, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 292 seats while the opposition INDIA bloc won 234. So far, the INDIA bloc has given a way better peformance than what was predicted in the exit polls on June 1.
This time, some of the key constituencies in the elections are Varanasi, Wayanad, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Mandi, North East Delhi, Bangalore South, Hassan, Baramulla, and Gandhinagar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi won in Varanasi, defeating Congress' Ajay Rai by a margin of 152,513 votes. In Gujarat's Gandhinagar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah defeated Congress leader Sonal Ramanbhai Patel by a margin of 744,716 votes.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi defeated CPI's Annie Raja to win the Wayanad constituency. Gandhi also won in the Rae Bareli constituency.
The country is poised to see whether NDA government will retain power, or if a new government will emerge from the opposing INDIA bloc.
