Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent out a message of support to Kate Middleton after she revealed her cancer diagnosis.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have extended words of support to Kate Middleton following her recent cancer diagnosis. The Princess of Wales addressed her health concerns in a rare video message, putting an end to speculation and conspiracy theories surrounding her absence from the public eye.
The official statement from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex came just an hour after Kate posted the video on her and Prince William's official social media accounts on March 22. "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace," the statement sent to NBC read.
Despite their past differences, it appears that the estranged in-laws are trying to patch things up in light of Kate's illness. PR expert Ryan McCormick believes that Harry and Meghan's message, although brief, was respectful and filled with positivity.

"The speed for which it came out is positive," McCormick said, suggesting that the royal feud could end soon. "The gravity of this situation may be so large that it could melt away long-held grievances. Yes, Meghan and Harry have their faults but, family is family. Their feud could very well end immediately."
Kate Middleton underwent planned abdominal surgery in January, after which she withdrew from the public eye. Speculation and conspiracy theories quickly spread on social media. However, in her video message, Kate explained, "It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I've had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful."

The surgery was initially thought to be for a non-cancerous condition, but tests afterwards revealed the presence of cancer. Kate's medical team advised her to undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and she is now in the early stages of treatment.
Kate expressed gratitude for the love and support she has received from her husband, Prince William, and her children, George, Charlotte, and Louis. She also thanked the medical team for their care and urged others facing cancer to not lose faith or hope, emphasising that they are not alone.
