‘Most powerful film ever made’: Anil Kapoor pens profound note on 35 years of Parinda

Anil Kapoor called his film Parinda “the most powerful film ever made” as it completed 35 years. On Sunday (Nov 3), the actor took to Instagram and shared the poster of his film with a long message. 

The message read, "35 years ago, we had the audacity, the confidence, and the cool arrogance to call it 'the most powerful film ever made.' And to this day, Parinda continues to stand the test of time." 

‘Timeless legacy’ 

He added, "Looking back, it still surprises me that we dared to put that on the poster and that audiences embraced it so wholeheartedly. Thank you for keeping Parinda alive in your hearts after all these years. Here's to a legacy that remains timeless! #35yearsofParinda."  

 
The film was a crime drama released in 1989. Apart from Kapoor, it starred Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar and Madhuri Dixit Nene. The film was co-written, produced and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Upcoming film 

Anil Kapoor is now going to star in a new movie called Subedaar. In the film, he plays Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a former soldier. The actress Radhikka plays his daughter Shyama. 

The project has just started filming, which Prime Video announced on Instagram by sharing a photo of Anil Kapoor's look from the film. 

The story is about an ex-soldier (Anil's character) who has trouble adjusting to normal life. He struggles to get along with his daughter and faces problems in society. He must now fight personal battles to protect his family. The movie is directed by Suresh Triveni, who previously made Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa. The film is being produced by Vikram Malhotra, Suresh Triveni, and Anil Kapoor himself, through their production companies.
