He waved the national flag at the start of the concert. He then saluted in front of the flag, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
The crowd’s loud cheering echoed through the jam-packed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as Diljit Dosanjh made a grand entry and captivated the masses with an enthusiastic performance that kicked off after much delay but yet with so much zeal. Many emotional moments caught everyone's attention and this one gesture stood out.
During the concert, Dosanjh saw a female fan and asked where she was from. The woman said that she was from Russia; the singer then jokingly assured her that she was safe in the huge crowd. “These are all your brothers,” he said, pointing towards the crowd. After that, he called her on stage and gave her a suitcase as a present.
Set to perform tonight (Oct 27) as well, the global star saw thousands of fans gather in the national capital to hear him sing live. Dosanjh was dressed in an all-black outfit with a black turban and sunglasses. He waved the national flag at the start of the concert. He then saluted in front of the flag, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
Addressing his fans, Dosanjh said, "Delhi, we had a full house; we sold out. We got permission only for this much; otherwise, we would have done it for three days in a row with a stage at the centre. Thank you guys; I appreciate it," he said.
