Story highlights

Karan Johar has officially announced Dharma Productions' upcoming project Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.

It's official! Dhadak 2 is in the making at Dharma Productions. And, the lead cast of the film includes Siddhant Chaturvedi and Animal fame Triptii Dimri. The announcement comes over a year after KJo denied producing Dhadak 2.

On Monday, Karan took to his official Instagram handle to announce Dhadak 2 and share the first poster of the anticipated film. The film is being directed by Shazia Iqbal and will release in theatres on November 22, 2024.

Siddhant Chaturvedi also shared the motion poster on Instagram and wrote, "Ek raja, ek rani, ek kahaani, do dhadkane (One king, one queen, one story--two heartbeats). The film explores barriers of class and status stitched in the minds of societies, underscoring a narrative of love that can never be fulfilled. Or can it?"

The poster shows Siddhant and Triptii's characters embracing each other with a backdrop of a brown wall filled with slogans like "Dalit Lives Matter", "Education, agitation, organisation" and "Revolution".
