Kajol and Kriti Sanon's Do Patti: Trailer, release date, plot and more!

Kriti Sanon and Kajol's Do Patti is a film that you should mark on your calendars. On Monday, the makers unveiled the movie's trailer and it will definitely take your excitement to the next level. 

Directed by debut filmmaker Shashanka Chaturvedi, the captivating mystery thriller presents Kajol and Kriti in a never-before-seen avatar.

The trailer features Kajol as a police officer, Vidya Jyothi, who is solving a mystery case that involves twin sisters, played by Kriti.

Set in a fictional hilly town, the trailer starts with Vidya (Kajol) investigating a man named Dhruv Sood (Shaheer Sheikh) about an accident. Further, we see a sweet love story of Dhruv and his wife Saumya (Kriti Sanon) and their dreamy life in the mountains. However, their life takes a major turn when Saumya's identical twin, Shailee, enters the frame.

Turning everything upside down, Shailee makes her sister Saumya's life a hell with Dhruv being jailed for allegedly attempting to kill one of the twins. Being a dedicated cop, Kajol tries to unravel the truth and gets more involved in the complicated story of the two sisters' rivalry. 

Synopsis of the movie

As per Netflix, the movie's Synopsis reads, ''The twisted tale unfolds in the fictional hilly town of Devipur, where police inspector Vidya Jyothi (Kajol) finds herself drawn to a series of unsettling events involving Saumya (Kriti Sanon) and her husband, Dhruv Sood (Shaheer Sheikh). When Saumya’s twin sister, Shailee, suddenly arrives at the hill station, her intrigue deepens, leaving Vidya to question whether anything is truly as it seems within this web of half-truths and half-lies.''

More about the movie 

This is Kriti's debut in the mystery genre and her performance is quite impactful as both Saumya and Shailee. This is the second time when Kriti and Kajol will be sharing the screen. They have previously worked in Rohit Shetty's Dilwale. 

Written by Kanika Dhillon, the movie also stars Tanvi Azmi, Vivek Mushran and Prachee Shah Paandya in pivotal roles.

Produced by Kanika Dhillon and Kriti Sanon, the movie will be released directly on Netflix on October 25.
