Rajkummar Rao to next star in action film Maalik

Rajkummar Rao, whose recent films such as Srikanth and Mr and Mrs Mahi have achieved significant success, is renowned for his dedication to roles across various genres. Having excelled in intense dramas and uproarious comedies, Rao is now gearing up to explore the action genre.

Rajkummar Rao's Action Film Journey

While Hit: The First Case marked the actor's initial foray into action, the opportunity to collaborate on the action-thriller Maalik with director Pulkit and producer Jay Shewakramani was one Rao couldn't resist. This upcoming project will challenge his acting abilities through high-energy stunts, for which the actor has already commenced rigorous physical preparation.

Joining Rao in Maalik is Medha Shankar, known for her role in the critically acclaimed 12th Fail.

Maalik Shooting Schedule

Scheduled to begin filming in September, Maalik will unfold across Lucknow and Banaras over a three-month period. The narrative promises to immerse viewers in the vibrant tapestry of these cities, starting with filming in Lucknow before shifting to Varanasi.

Rajkummar Rao's Future Projects

Following Maalik, fans can anticipate Rao's return in Stree 2, a highly awaited horror-comedy featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee.
