This is by far, the British band Coldplay’s biggest concert that is going to take place; since the capacity of Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad is over 1 lakh.
As Coldplay added another show to their India schedule in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad; fans were hopeful to finally have a chance at attending the band’s biggest show ever. The bookings for the fourth show opened on Saturday (Nov 16) noon but the fans were disappointed yet again as the queues on BookMyShow went into lakhs as soon as the tickets went live.
Many fans took to social media to rant and express their agony. An X user, whose queue number was around 3.5 lakh, shared a screenshot and wrote, “Why is @bookmyshow forcing me too look at my JEE main rank again and again?”
Another, who was around the 3 lakh mark in the queues, quipped, “Even if we had 2 Narendra Modi Stadiums, I would still not get it.”
Even though the bookings for Coldplay’s Mumbai concert set to happen in January 2025 went live to two rounds, fans were left disheartened due to the apparent booking scam and queues running up to eight lakhs on BookMyShow.

This is by far, the British band Coldplay’s biggest concert that is going to take place since the capacity of Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad is over 1 lakh.
This will mark Coldplay’s first visit to India in eight years. Coldplay last performed in Mumbai as part of the Global Citizen Festival in 2016.
The band had earlier announced their schedule to be 18, 19 and 20 of January in 2025 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai as a part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025. The tickets for these shows were sold out in a few minutes leaving many fans of the British music band hopeless. The overwhelming response crashed BookMyShow’s app and website for a short while.
