Buying a house is a struggle in Mumbai, the city of dreams. But did you ever think that actress Vidya Balan, one of the renowned Indian actresses also lives in a rental property?
Balan who is married to producer Siddharth Roy Kapur has a huge net worth. Still, the couple have not found their dream home.
Vidya Balan explains why she lives in a rental house
Speaking at the 22nd Credal Natcon event in Sydney, Balan talked about finding a dream home as she went on to reveal why she and her husband chose to rent a property in the densely populated city.
Saying that finding a home is totally on destiny, Vidya said, ''you walk into a house and you know it's yours.''

Recalling the first time when she went on a house hunt with her mother and how she found her perfect home, Balan said that around 15 years ago, she was searching for a place in Bandra or Juhu, which would be preferable for her work. But it was out of her budget.
However, her mother encouraged her to buy the home and arrange EMI's for the same.
“When I walked into the house, it felt like my home,” Balan said.
However, the actress again went on a house hunt after her marriage to Siddharth. But this time, the couple settled on a rented property.

She said, “We looked at around 25 houses but couldn’t agree on any.”
Tired of finding homes, the couple loved a rental property and eventually decided to move in.
Explaining why she decided to live in a rented home, the actress said that the property was a rare find with a sea view and a garden. All the things worked well for the couple and the landlord is happy “earning a fat cheque” from the deal, she joked.
