Diljit Dosanjh made a stunning entry on stage in an all-black outfit as he got going with the Indian leg of his Dil-Luminati Tour in Delhi on Saturday night (Oct 26). In what may be called a patriotic gesture, Dosanjh waved the Indian flag after his first song, as his fans cheered loudly from the crowd. He performed at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium which was even attended by Zomato’s Deepinder Goyal.
He then said, “Ye mera desh, mera ghar hai (This is my country, this is my home)!” He also thanked his fans for being supportive and kind towards him over the years. Earlier fans were eagerly waiting for the evening to begin since it was delayed and people travelled far distances to witness the live show.
Fans had a bit of a rough start at Diljit Dosanjh's Delhi concert as they waited in the humid stadium for the show to begin. Many had arrived hours early, eager to hear their favourite songs like Born to Shine, GOAT, Lemonade, 5 Taara, and Do You Know. The crowd's frustration turned to joy when the lights finally dimmed at 8 PM and Diljit took the stage. Excited fans quickly shared their concert experiences on social media.
This performance is a part of Diljit's Dil-Luminati tour, which comes to India after successful shows across Europe and North America. Delhi gets a second show on October 27, followed by performances in several major Indian cities including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.
