Diljit’s world tour has finally reached India, with the first concert held in Delhi on October 26 and a second show scheduled in the national capital on October 27.

The moment is almost here! Excited fans of Diljit Dosanjh gathered in huge numbers today (Oct 26) as he kicked off the India leg of his Dil-Luminati Tour in Delhi. The singer is set to perform at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday evening. However, the concert’s late start left many fans frustrated as they waited in the packed venue.

Concert delay

Originally scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm (local time), the concert failed to start on time. Hundreds of fans filled JLN Stadium, eager to hear Diljit perform hits like Born to Shine, GOAT, Lemonade, 5 Taara, and Do You Know. As the crowd grew restless in the heat, the darkened stage gave no hint of the show beginning. The concert eventually began nearly an hour late, around 7:50 pm.

Fans waiting

Ahead of the concert, long lines of fans stretched for kilometres outside the venue, many of whom shared their excitement on social media about finally seeing their favourite artist live. Diljit also shared photos of his arrival in India, where he met some fans, captioning, “Delhi Ka Mausam Kya Keh Raha Hai. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR Year 24.”

Zomato’s Deepinder Goyal also took to Instagram to share a video about the traffic he had to encounter, on his way to Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi concert as many fans were still stuck in the jam while the concert was yet to start.
