In the famous 90's American sitcom, Perry and Jennifer played best friends Chandler Bing and Rachel Green, respectively. Speaking with actress and Abbott Elementary creator Quinta Brunson on Variety’s  Actors on Actors series, the two actors discussed the famous show as Aniston recalled the early days of the shoot.

During the emotional conversation, the Murder Mystery star couldn't hold back her tears as she shared the beautifull memories.

Talking about the show turning 30 years old, the actor shared how Perry pulled a prank on their co-star Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay in the series.

“It’s so strange to even think that it’s 30 years old,” Aniston said before adding, “I remember the day that it was going to premiere on television, on NBC: Matthew Perry and I were having lunch somewhere, and we knew Lisa was getting her hair colored. So we ran into the hair salon, and I snuck up — she was in the sink — and I took the nozzle from the guy that was supposed to be doing it and just started washing her hair. It definitely flew out of control, and that was unfortunate. But the excitement we had, it feels like yesterday.”

Reflecting on how Friends that debuted in 1994 transended generations and still remains one of the favourite shows, the 55 year old actress said, “The fact that it’s had this long, wonderful life and it still means a lot to people is one of the greatest gifts I think all five of us — all six of us — we never could imagine."

“And we see each other. I talked on FaceTime with Court last night for an hour, and Lisa and the boys, and we just have a really — it’s a family forever.”

Remembering Perry, Friends star Courteney Cox said in an interview in May how she senses his presence around her all the time.

Speaking on CBS Sunday Morning, Cox, who played the role of Monica Geller called Perry the "funniest human being on the planet".

“I think he’s probably one of the funniest human beings in the world. He’s just so funny,” Cox, 59, said. “He is genuinely a huge heart. Obviously struggled. I’m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years. He visits me a lot, if we believe in that.”

Perry died in October 2023. He was 54.
