The return of Robert Downey Jr to Marvel World is the major highlight of the year 2024. At the San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, Robert surprised every die-hard Marvel fan as he unmasked himself as Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom. This was something that no one saw coming. But, did you know that Spider-Man actor Tom Holland was already aware of Downey's return to the superhero world? However, he managed to keep it a secret.
Holland is the one in the Marvel world who has several times in the past ended up revealing major plot points even before the release. So this time, the actor made sure that he didn't ruin anything.
Speaking on the Rich Roll podcast, Holland said that it was 'tough' to hide the secret. However, he still managed to do it.
Revealing that he had to ''stop doing press' to avoid revealing the secret. “I’ve been speaking to [Robert Downey Jr.] a lot, especially about him making his [Marvel] return, which is super exciting,'' the Uncharted actor said.
He added, “That was a tough secret to sit on because I have a reputation for ruining things, and I strategically have done no press.”

On the same podcast, Holland also talked about Spider-Man 4, revealing that it ''needs work.''
Holland said: “One of the things is that, with Marvel, your film is a small cog in a large machine. That machine has got to keep running. You have to make sure you can fit into that timeline at the right time to benefit the bigger picture. That’s one of the challenges we’re facing.”
