Is Taylor Swift part of Deadpool & Wolverine? Ryan Reynolds' post leads to speculations

Rumours of Taylor Swift making a cameo in the third installment of Deadpool movie refuse to die down. Now, the film's leading man Ryan Reynolds has added more fuel to ongoing rumours. Reynold recently recreated Swift's Evermore album cover in a post on Instagram Stories, parodying Swift, dressed as Deadpool. 

In Swift’s 2021 Evermore artwork, the singer is photographed from behind in an autumnal forest, her braided hair falling down the back of a plaid jacket. In Reynolds’ post, he stands in the same position in a similar location, wearing Deadpool’s red-and-black suit and showing off two blades strapped to his back.

Fans have long believed the musician will be featured in Deadpool's next installment. Deadpool's next film Deadpool & Wolverine is slated for July 26 release and marks the comeback of Hugh Jackman as the Marvel Hero. The film's release is less than a month away and Reynold's recent post has reignited fan theories of Swift's possible cameo in the film. 

Many are also aware that the Grammy award-winning singer is a self-confessed fan of Deadpool. In 2016, Swift borrowed Reynold's actual costume to dress up as Deadpool for Halloween. Two years later, Reynolds’ character sported a T-shirt emblazoned with a photo of the Eras Tour headliner’s cats Meredith and Olivia in Deadpool 2, after which Swift recorded her pets’ “reactions” to the tribute in a video on Instagram Stories.

Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively are known to be close friends with Swift. 

In a previous interview, Reynolds himself has said that he isn’t opposed to having his friend join the Deadpool cast. “Are you kidding me?” he told Entertainment Tonight back in 2022. “I would do anything for that woman. She’s a genius.”
