Kerry Washington, Glenn Close round out Daniel Craig starrer Knives Out 3 cast

The makers want to close the casting of Rian Johnson’s Knives Out 3. After it was announced on May 29 that Andrew Scott, Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny will take on important roles in the whodunit mystery thriller, we have information that Kerry Washington and Glenn Close have also been roped in. Like the first two times, Daniel Craig will play the quirky detective Benoit Blanc, who will take up the charge of finding the killer.

Daniel Craig will lead a bevy of stars in the third film of the franchise which usually includes the whos-who of the industry.

Knives Out 3 to be Benoit Blanc's "most dangerous case yet"

Knives Out 3 is titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery and is written and directed by Rian Johnson. He will also produce with his T-Street partner Ram Bergman, who worked on the first two films. 

With the cast finally in place, Wake Up Dead Man is expected to soon go into production and is slated to release in 2025. The cast of the film includes Andrew Scott, Joshn O' Connor, Cailee Spaeny in leading roles. 'Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery' casts Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny

Plot details are yet to be revealed, but Johnson and Craig have teased that it is Blanc’s "most dangerous case yet.”

The first film of the franchise Knives Out released in 2019 and became a massive success grossing $312 million against a $40 million budget. Netflix then bought the rights to the murder mystery series and debuted the sequel, Glass Onion in 2022. It was an even bigger success.

Kerry Washington is best known for portraying Olivia Pope in drama project Scandal. Glenn Close most recently starred in Ron Howard’s Hillbilly Elegy for Netflix.
