Netflix's 3 Body Problem gets additional episodes as show reaches its end

Netflix’s hit show 3 Body Problem has renewed ahead of its final episodes. The addition is part of the current season and the makers are not calling it “season 2” but referring to it as a “renewed” show.

So there will now be additional episodes to the already hit season. 

The show is created by David Benioff, DB Weiss and Alexander Woo as they stated that they “get to tell this story through to its epic conclusion.” 

With plans of taking the story forward, Benioff earlier in an interview said that they would “need at least three, maybe four seasons to tell the whole story.”

3 Body Problem: Plot and Cast

3 Body Problem is based on the novels by Liu Cixin. The story “follows how a decision made by a young woman in 1960s China reverberates across space and time into the present day, driving a group of scientists to join forces with an unorthodox detective to confront a major threat to humanity.” 

The cast of 3 Body Problem includes Jovan Adepo, John Bradley, Rosalind Chao, Liam Cunningham, Eiza González, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani, Benedict Wong and Jonathan Pryce.

The show is executive produced by Benioff, Weiss and Woo with Bernadette Caulfield; Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue for T-Street.
