Will Aaron Taylor-Johnson play the next James Bond? Considering he's found favours from previous James Bond actors, it looks like he's getting the job!
Another former James Bond star has given the stamp of approval for Aaron Taylor-Johnson to play the next 007 spy. This time it's none other than Pierce Brosnan.
When asked on a radio show about rumours circling around Aaron becoming the next James Bond, Pierce Brosnan said, “I think the man has the chops and the talent and the charisma to play Bond, very much so.”
Pierce Brosnan was one of the most loved James Bond actors and went on to star in four films from the franchise: GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.
Pierce Brosnan speaks from experience since on the radio show, the actor revealed that he’s worked with Aaron Taylor-Johnson on the 2009 film The Greatest, which was produced by Brosnan’s company Irish DreamTime.
Pierce said, “One of the first movies we made, one of the earliest movies, was ‘The Greatest’. And he was the greatest in it.”
“So, yes, I read the news about his possibilities of being a Bond, so I would definitely tip my hat to the fellow,” he added.
Previously, former James Bond actor George Lazenby, who portrayed the iconic role in the 1969 film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, also gave his thumbs up on Aaron playing the titular character in future films.
The former James Bond star said he was in support of Aaron bagging the role “as long as he does the character justice,” telling the actor “to be true to himself and reinvent the role to fit him.”
There have been reports within the industry that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is being considered for the role of the world’s most famous secret agent.

If confirmed, Aaron will take over James Bond duties from the last star in the role, Daniel Craig.
As for Aaron, when was asked recently if he was in the race for the role, the actor said, “I can only really talk about the things I’m going to show and tell. I don’t feel like I need to have a future drawn out for me. I feel like: whatever’s drawn out for me, I can fu*****’ do better.”
