Prince Harry could be deported from the US if he lied about taking drugs on his American visa application, according to former US President Donald Trump.

In an interview with GB News (of which preview aired recently), Donald Trump can be seen commenting on visa drama concerning Prince Harry. The British royal who now lives in California is speculated to have taken drugs and lied about it. In the interview, Trump said, “We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action.”

When asked if it meant that he would not get to stay in America, Trump replied, “Oh I don’t know. You’ll have to tell me. You just have to tell me.”

Prince Harry's visa row

Prince Harry’s visa status has been in focus ever since an American think tank, the Heritage Foundation, sued the Department of Homeland Security last year for access to his immigration records.

For the unversed, certain American visa applications need the person to disclose whether they have ever taken drugs. If found using drugs, the application can be denied.

Previously, other public figures have run into issues entering the US over their reported drug use.

The issue came to notice when Prince Harry mentioned the use of drugs in his memoir, Spare. In his memoir, he spoke about using various drugs and psychedelics including cocaine, marijuana and magic mushrooms. It is unclear whether he declared using the same on his visa application.

Ever since the revelation happened, many right-wing commentators in the US and UK have turned against Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. The couple left the UK and stepped away from royal duties. They now reside in the US.
