It's confirmed! Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to give spectacular performances during the Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games this Sunday. The performances, which will be a blend of both pre-taped and live segments, will broadcast from Los Angeles.

Producer Ben Winston, known for his work on major live music events like the Grammy Awards, will handle the coordination of the performances, according to Variety.

Reports are also rife that the Closing Ceremony will feature a stunt-filled segment by Tom Cruise. Leaked details reveal that Cruise will perform a series of daring motorcycle stunts in France before transitioning to a prerecorded segment where he parachutes down next to the iconic Hollywood sign. Following his performance, the Los Angeles-based musicians will take centre stage.

Jimmy Fallon and sports broadcaster Mike Tirico will be taking over the hosting duties for the event. Some reports also suggest that the ceremony will feature more than 100 acrobats and aerial performers inside the Stade de France.

Traditionally, the closing ceremony kicks off with the Parade of Flags and the athletes from each participating nation marching into the stadium carrying their country's flag. The Greek flag, honouring the origins of the Olympics, always leads the procession, while the host nation's flag concludes the parade.

Lady Gaga, Celine Dion and Aya Nakamura performed during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics. While Gaga performed the iconic French song "Mon truc en plumes"  on the banks of the Seine, Celine capped off the ceremony with a rousing performance of Edith Piaf's “L'Hymne à l'amour."

The French-Canadian singer's emotional performance marked her return to the stage, nearly two years after getting diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome.

As the ceremony concludes on Sunday, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass will officially receive the Olympic Torch, symbolising its role as the next host of the Summer Olympics, set to take place from July 14 to July 30.
