What's cooking? Ranveer Singh has announced his next big project with director Aditya Dhar, known for directing URI: The Surgical Strike. The forthcoming film will be a star-studded spectacle with a stellar cast featuring Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal.
Get Ready For a Cinematic Spectacle!
On Saturday, the Simmba actor made the big announcement. Taking to his social media handle, the actor announced his next theatrical feature. The movie is Dhar's second directorial after the blockbuster 2019 movie Uri: The Surgical Strike starring Vicky Kaushal.
The monochrome poster features Ranveer, Dhar, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna and R. Madhavan. All of them are dressed in black outfits with serious expressions on their face.
"This one is for my fans, who have been so patient with me, and been clamouring for a turn like this," he wrote on Instagram.
He added, "With your blessings, we embark on this great, big motion picture adventure with spirited energy and pure intent. This time, it's personal."
This marks Singh and Dhar's first collaboration.
No details on the movie's plot or release date have been shared. However, as per Pinkvilla, the project is said to be based on a real-life story.
An inside source has shared, “It’s a real-life story from the tenure of Ajit Doval in his younger days. While all character dynamics are under wraps, Ranveer's character is from Punjab, which is the reason for him to grow the beard. It’s a first for him. R Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna play the part of senior officers from Indian Intelligence Agency, R&AW.”
This multi-starrer film is backed by Jyoti Deshpande from Jio Studios along with Lokesh Dhar and Aditya Dhar under their banner B62 Studios.
