Even 20 years after its release, the magic of this evergreen movie has not faded, and the box office numbers from the movie's re-release are a testament to that. Directed by Yash Chopra, the iconic 2004 movie was re-released in the theatres worldwide on September 13.

Tumbbad re-release week 1 collection: Sohum Shah's film earns impressive numbers
Over the years, the movie has been re-released several times and each time, the movie has contributed well to the movie's box-office gross. During the original run, the movie earned Rs 98 crore. With the addition from the re-released, the total collection now stands at Rs 102.60 crore.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the overall numbers of the movie.
In a post, he wrote, ''VEER ZAARA' CROSSES ₹ 💯 CR *WORLDWIDE GROSS* ON RE-RELEASE... Released in very few cinemas [282] and with limited showings, the timeless classic #VeerZaara - originally released in 2004 - fares very well in its *re-release*.''
During the recent re-release, the movie has earned Rs 1.57 crore.

The movie was Chopra and Shah Rukh's third collaboration after Darr and Dil To Pagal Hai.
The movie is a cross-border love story of Veer Pratap Singh (Khan), an Indian Air Force officer, and Zaara Hayaat Khan (Zinta), the daughter of a Pakistani politician, who reunite after 22 years of waiting.
Apart from Khan and Zinta, the movie also stars Rani Mukerji, who plays a Pakistani lawyer, named Saamiya Siddiqui.
