Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan took to Instagram on Saturday and urged his fans to come out of their houses to vote this Monday in Maharashtra.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in Dunki, wants his fans to vote keeping the country's best interests in mind. The actor shared a post on his Instagram Stories for his fans and urged them to exercise their democratic right to vote and be a part of democracy's biggest festival - the elections.
In a note, he wrote, "As responsible Indian citizens we must exercise our right to vote this Monday in Maharashtra. Let's carry out our duty as Indians and vote keeping our country's best interests in mind. Go forth promote, our right to vote."
In light of the fifth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Mumbai on May 20, Bollywood actor Salman Khan also urged his fans to step out of their homes and vote for their favourite political party. He wrote, "I exercise 365 days a year no matter what and now I’m going to exercise my right to vote on the 20th of May no matter what. So do whatever you want to do man, but go and vote and don’t trouble your Bharat Mata… Bharat Mata ki Jai!"

On the work front, SRK is all set to begin filming for his next film, King. He will be reuniting with music composer Anirudh Ravichander for the project. The film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and is also likely to star his daughter Suhana Khan.
His last film Dunki received good reviews from audiences and critics alike. The movie also starred Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.

On May 20, the fate of 695 candidates including some prominent ministers and MPs will be sealed when people from 49 constituencies across six states and two Union territories will vote. The voting will take place in Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Bihar, Ladakh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
