Shah Rukh Khan has been receiving a lot of flak online for pushing a man on the red carpet of the Locarno Film Festival. Here's the tea!
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan added another golden feather to his already decorated hat on Saturday (Aug 10) as he became the first Indian actor to receive a lifetime achievement award, the Pardo alla Carriera or Career Leopard, at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival. However, his viral videos from the red carpet have raised eyebrows.
Netizens are slamming the actor for "pushing an old man" who was unknowingly standing too close to the actor while he was getting his solo pictures clicked by the paps. Dressed in a black suit, SRK is seen pushing the man with both hands in the viral videos.
Reacting to the clip, an angry netizen wrote, "Indeed, it was not a playful behaviour but SRK's arrogance! What if the old man did the same with SRK?" Another commented, "Shame on you @iamsrk." A third said, "Always knew he is not a nice person he try to pretend to."
Meanwhile, SRK's fans defended the actor, calling the action "playful". A fan wrote, "This video is being taken out of context." Another commented, "They're friends and they're just being playful."

Moments before the red carpet incident, SRK received the award at the film festival and during his acceptance speech, he praised the city of Locarno for its beauty, culture and art.
"I want to thank you all for welcoming me with such wide arms, wider than the ones I do on screen in this really pretty, very beautiful, very cultural, very artistic, and extremely hot city of Locarno," SRK said.
He added, "My day has been wonderful, the food has been nice, my Italian is improving, and so has been my cooking." To flaunt his linguistic skills, he said in Italian, "I can cook pasta and pizza also. I'm learning here in Locarno."
The Locarno Film Festival, renowned for its celebration of global cinema, will take place from August 7 to 17.
