Stree 2 continues glorious run at the Box Office: Check how much movie has earned

Stree 2 is having a phenomenal run at the box office. Released on Aug 15, the movie starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor has become the highest-grossing Hindi film in week 2. 

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the horror-comedy has been dominating the box office since the first day of its release.

The movie has been scripting history since day one. Now the movie has surpassed Bollywood big hits such as Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, Prabhas' Baahubali 2, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal and Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan in week 2 box office collection.

In week 2, the movie ended its run at Rs 453.60 crore (Rs 4.5 billion).

So far, the movie has surpassed the lifetime collection (Hindi) of Baahubali: The Beginning (Rs 421 crore), Prabhas's Salaar: Cease Fire - Part 1 (Rs 406.45 crore).

As per the reports, the movie has surpassed the Rs 550 crore (Rs 5.5 billion) mark at the worldwide box office. The movie is likely to continue its glorious run on week 3 as well. However, it may be challenged after Kangana Ranaut's Emergency and Thalapathy Vijay's GOAT release. 

The movie's beyond-expectations performance at the box office left everyone stunned. Talking about the numbers of the movie,  Rao told Indian news channel News 18, ''There's a big fan-following for Stree, including me. I am a huge fan of Stree myself. But these numbers are way above our expectations. We are glad and super-elated. There's a lot of gratitude that this is happening with a film like Stree, because it a content-driven film."
