Story highlights

This has set twice the record compared to Ariana Grande’s Sweetener World Tour in 2019.

Sabrina Carpenter pulled the highest number of voters compared to any other celebrity for 2024’s election cycle via HeadCount during her Short ‘n’ Sweet tour. She achieved this in collaboration with a nonpartisan organisation that aims to bring young voters to cast their vote during elections ahead of her tour. This particular organisation works specifically with musicians to encourage young voters to participate. Youngsters in big numbers are attending Carpenter’s ongoing tour in the UK, Europe and North America.

Carpenter encourages highest voters

According to Variety, Carpenter registered more than 27,000 new voters and engaged more than 183,000 voters by engaging them in activities such as giveaways, in-person activations, mailers and video boards during her tour.

As part of her partnership with HeadCount, an interesting opportunity was given to Carpenter’s fans. The registered voters were asked to check their registration status, and the winner would be flown to San Francisco for the singer’s show scheduled on November 9.

Voter's impact

According to the non-profit, the tour managed to engage 7,900 new voters the highest number thus far in a single tour. It also engaged more than 61,000 voters via in-person activations during the tour, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Therefore, this has set twice the record compared to Ariana Grande’s Sweetener World Tour in 2019.

The Hollywood Reporter Lucille Wenegieme, executive director of HeadCount said, “Through our partnerships with over 100 top music artists — like Sabrina Carpenter, Green Day, Ariana Grande, and so many others — HeadCount had a record-breaking year, registering over 450,000 new voters and engaging over 3 million more people to make sure they vote”.

HeadCount record

HeadCount's impact on voter registration has been significant: Since 2004, they've helped register over 1.5 million new voters by partnering with popular artists like Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, and Billie Eilish. Their efforts have paid off significantly with over 450,000 new voter registrations and engagement with more than 3 million voters across 3,700+ events.
