A day after the Maharashtra government made the announcement about cinemas opening on October 22, production houses have started announcing the new release dates of their big-budget films which were delayed due to the pandemic and shutting down of theatres across the country.

John Abraham second instalment of his action-packed 2018 hit 'Satyamev Jayate' will release on November 26 in theatres. Based on the fight against injustice and misuse of power and stars John Abraham in a double role alongside Divya Khosla Kumar, Rajeev Pillai and Anup Soni in important characters.

Ranveer Singh's most awaited project, '83' is finally set to release in December, this year. Kabir Khan's sports drama is centred around the Indian cricket team’s 1983 world cup win. In the movie, Ranveer will play the cricketer Kapil Dev while Padukone plays his wife Romi Bhatia and will be making a cameo in the movie. The movie will release in cinema halls this Christmas.

Yash Raj's big-budget movie ‘Prithviraj’ starring Akshay Kumar will release worldwide on January 21, 2022. It stars superstar Kumar in and as King Prithviraj Chauhan and former Miss World Manushi Chhillar is making her Bollywood debut as Sanyogita opposite Kumar. Actors Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood are also there in the movie playing pivotal roles. The film has been made by director Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi.

Ranveer Singh's 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' will hit the cinemas on February 25, 2022. Helmed by debutant writer-director Divyang, the movie is a humorous entertainer set in Gujarat. Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of a Gujarati man. Ranveer as Jayeshbhai is the hero who will be seen championing the cause of women empowerment in the most entertaining way of story-telling.

Director Varun V Sharma's 'Bunty Aur Babli 2' starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi & debutant Sharvari, will release worldwide on November 19, 2021.
The film is a sequel of 'Bunty Aur Babli' which starred Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan, and Rani Mukerji in lead roles.

Alia Bhatt starrer 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is scheduled to hit theatres on January 6, 2022. The film will have Alia playing a madam of a brothel in Mumbai. It is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book and will see Alia Bhatt don a new look as she plays a mafia queen and owner of a brothel.
