Tom Cruise’s stunts, Snoop Dogg's reactions: Key Highlights from Olympics 2024
The Summer Olympics concluded with a bang! After two weeks of spectacular run, the Paris Olympics has indeed set a high bar for the US, the next host of the games.
Viewed by thousands in the stadium and millions worldwide, the closing ceremony at Stade de France was planned perfectly - from Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise's stunt performance to H.E.R's rendition of the US national anthem, the ceremony was truly one-of-kind.
Apart from the last day, the two-week-long event has been widely discussed from the beginning - when Celine Dion and Lady Gaga set the stage on fire. However, the Olympics did face some backlash over drag queens' performances depicting Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting of the 'Last Supper'. Moving forward, this Summer's Games apart from sports, gave out a lot of meme material, whether it was Snoop Dogg's funny reactions or Turkish sports shooter Yusuf Dikec, who went viral for his cool way of shooting.

Tom Cruise in Air!
Tom Cruise made a splashing entry at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics. Hollywood heartthrob arrived at the Stade de France roof in his Mission Impossible style to hand over the torch to 2028 host Los Angeles. During his daredevil performance, the actor landed on the arena floor through a cable and walked onto the stage, to pass the torch. He later exited the stadium on bike with the Olympic flag.

The Golden Voyager
At the Olympics closing ceremony, the lights of the whole stadium were switched off for the entry of the character known as ‘The Golden Voyager’. Dressed in a glittering golden costume, the voyager carried the Greek frag, the tribute to the birthplace of the Olympics.

Billie Eilish
Billie Eilish performed at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games on Sunday. Dressed in an oversized white Ralph Lauren polo, a navy baseball cap, shorts, and large boots, the 22-year-old singer performed some of her biggest hits along with her brother Finneas.

Celine Dion
Celine Dion made a shining comeback at the Paris Olympics 2024. The legendary singer concluded the opening Summer Olympics with her performance at the Eiffel Tower. This was Dion's first performance in two years after her stiff person syndrome diagnosis.
Celine took the stage performing the rendition of Édith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour'' in the dazzling beaded gown adorned with rhinestones and tassels.
