Like the past years, this year also we got ample stuff on the OTT platforms - from the anticipated sequels, coming-of-age rom-com dramas, new superheroes with new power and whatnot. But did all the web shows manage to make a space in the hearts of the beloved audience? The answer is no. This year is coming to an end, and it's a perfect time to look back at the shows that have been loved by the masses, become social media trends and amassed whooping viewing numbers.
After a three-year wait, the Duffer brothers' 'Stranger Things' season 4 was one of the most anticipated shows of the year for moviegoers, and as expected, the season, which introduced the new villain Vecna, was able to smash all the records of the streaming world. The show, however, had stiff competition from Netflix's horror-comedy series 'Wednesday,' which ranks second on the list of Netflix's most popular shows in 2022.
Other shows that became the headlines of the entertainment world were the MCU's new series 'Ms Marvel', the Korean drama 'All of Us Are Dead,' and 'Inventing Anna,' among others.
As this year comes to an end, here is a look back at the web shows that become the audience's first choice!
