In a post on X, the PTI said on Sunday (Nov 24), "Overseas Pakistanis have given their final verdict - They stand with their leader Imran Khan!"
As Imran Khan's party- the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)- has been unable to hold a massive protest in Islamabad, supporters of the former jailed prime minister began holding protests outside the country.

The post showed protests in support of Khan being held in the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK), Greece, Sweden, and Australia among many other countries.
A car rally was held in Chicago, US in support of Khan.
"Pakistani overseas students in Chicago, are participating in a protest and car rally to show their solidarity with Imran Khan. People from all generations, both in Pakistan and abroad, are expressing their support for Imran Khan," the PTI said in another post on X.
Authorities in Pakistan put Islamabad under a security lockdown on Sunday ahead of the PTI protest. Highways leading to Islamabad through which supporters of Khan were expected to approach the city and gather near Parliament, had been blocked.

After being unable to reach Islamabad on Sunday, PTI convoys from various parts of Pakistan were expected to resume their march towards the city on Monday, a report by Dawn said.
Speaking to Dawn, PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai said that the convoys departed for Islamabad but were moving slowly due to their size as well as the presence of barriers, claiming that the police had retreated after seeing the “huge rally.”
