'Melania Trump wants Kamala Harris to win': Ex-Donald Trump aide makes surprising claim

Donald Trump's wife Melania Trump hates him and is secretly rooting for Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris to win in the upcoming election, a former aide of the Republican leader has claimed.   

Anthony Scaramucci, who served as White House communications director for only 11 days in 2017, made the stunning claim during a recent interview on the MeidasTouch podcast.

“Maybe Melania Trump. That could be the only person I think of. Because she hates (Trump),” said Scaramucci, adding that the former First Lady was keener to see Harris win the November elections. 

Scaramucci suggested that Melania's hatred for Trump was so strong that he used it as a standard to gauge other people and their feelings towards the former president. He jokingly said that even the podcast host and his wife are a little bit nicer to Trump than Melania is.

“My wife hates Trump as much as Melania does," said Scaramucci, adding: “I’ve met one person who hates Trump more than Melania. That’s General Milley. He’s the only man I’ve ever met who hates him more than Melania."

Notably, after the January 6 insurrection attempt in 2021, Trump made comments suggesting Milley, the nation’s top-ranking military officer at the time, should be killed.

Who is Scaramucci?

Scaramucci served as the communications director for the White House from July 21 to July 31, 2017, before being fired by Trump. 

Scaramucci's appointment led to White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer's resignation who openly voiced his displeasure about the former's hiring. After John Kelly, the Chief of Staff at the time also questioned Scaramucci's credibility, Trump took the decision to sack him.

'Trump hates Republicans'

This is not the first instance when a former Trump aide has made such revelations. During the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago earlier this month, Stephanie Grisham, ex-Trump press secretary, claimed that the former president mocked his supporters.

“I wasn’t just a Trump supporter, I was a true believer. I was one of his closest advisers. Behind closed doors, Trump mocks his supporters. He calls them ‘basement dwellers," said Grisham.

“He has no empathy, no morals and no fidelity to the truth,” Grisham added.

Having served Trump, Grisham also worked for Melania Trump as the press secretary before resigning in the wake of the January 6 insurrection attempt.
