Former US president Barack Obama also lauded Harris' blazing performance in the debate stating that she "will be a president for all Americans".

Former first lady Michelle Obama gave a glowing endorsement to Democratic presidential nominee and US Vice President Kamala Harris following her debate with Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Taking to her official X handle, Michelle said that after the fierce clash between the two White House contenders, there was "no room for discussion" about Harris being the only candidate in the race who was ready to take over as the President of the United States.

"After tonight’s debate, there should be no doubt – no room for discussion – Kamala Harris is the only candidate in this race who is ready to be President.

"I am once again urging everyone to roll up their sleeves and DO SOMETHING – phone bank, knock on doors, talk to any and everyone you know and urge them to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Every vote will matter in what will be a close race. We cannot afford to have anyone sitting on the sidelines. There’s simply too much at stake," she said.

Former US president Barack Obama also lauded Harris' blazing performance in the debate stating that she "will be a president for all Americans".

"Tonight, we saw firsthand who has the vision and strength to move this country forward instead of dividing us. Kamala Harris will be a president for all Americans. Let's get to work," he said in a post on his official X account.
