"Bring back law and order, safe streets and communities in Canada we once knew and loved," he added.

As the viral video of Trudeau sparked outrage, some social media users compared the Canadian prime minister to Nero- the Roman emperor known for "fiddling when Rome burned," a report by Fox News said.

Trudeau condemns Montreal riots

Trudeau on Saturday condemned the riots in Montreal.

"What we saw on the streets of Montreal last night was appalling. Acts of antisemitism, intimidation, and violence must be condemned wherever we see them," Trudeau said in a post on X.
