A viral video of a “tense” conversation between President Joe Biden and former president Barack Obama has sparked several theories on social media.
The seemingly uncomfortable conversation between the two was caught on camera during the service for Ethel Kennedy, the matriarch of the Kennedy family, at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Cathedral in Washington, DC.
The video does not have the audio of the conversation and only records the audio of the church organ as the two converse. Obama appears to say “no” and “not good” as he shakes his head.
During the conversation, Obama even turned away from Biden, after which Biden reached out to him and touched his arm.

Former president Bill Clinton was also standing beside them but wasn’t part of the talk and did look over at them. He interrupted the two and gestured them to look in the front of the cathedral.
Obama and Biden met for the first time since Biden dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.
The viral video has led to social media users speculating what President Biden and Obama are talking about. Various theories have emerged as people became curious about their tense conversation caught on camera.
A user on X said she reached out to her deaf coworkers to know if they could make out what they were saying.

“Obama says ‘No’ then shakes his head and says ‘Not good’. Hopefully they are talking about Kamala's campaign LOL.”
Another user wrote: I couldn't make out what Biden uttered to Obama, but the beginning of the reply from Obama was, "Nope, nope ... (he nods his head, no, and then says) it's gone." The look on Obama’s face is ominous, and Biden's look is one of shock.

After Biden dropped out of the elections, Obama endorsed Kamala Harris. He stirred a controversy after he urged black male voters to side with Kamala, suggesting those who don’t are sexist.
